Nowadays, Nokia is globally known as one of the largest mobile phones manufacturer. The company is headquartered in Finland. This vendor has been gained a big success of phone selling worldwide resulting the high revenue and profit for the company.

In order to get more familiar with the products of Nokia, below is the list of the phones from the classic series to recent modern series.

Classic Series

The classic series consist of 9 series of Nokia phones.

The 1000 series - At that time, this series includes the manufacturer's most affordable phones. They are mostly targeted towards developing countries and users who do not require advanced features beyond standard applications such as making calls, SMS, alarm clock and reminders.

The 2000 series - This series generally contain more advanced features than the previous. Some of the phones feature color screens, cameras, Bluetooth and even A-GPS.

The 3000 series (Expression series) - Aimed for the youngster market, mostly young male users, it is a mid-range class phone series.

The 5000 series (Active series) - This series features a rugged construction and it is known for its music playback feature, for example 5230 and 5800 XpressMusic.

The 6000 series (Classic Business series) - It is the largest family of Nokia phones. It is a mid-range to high-end phones containing a high a lot of features. It is also known for its conservative and unisex designs and it is popular among business users.

The 7000 series (Fashion and Experimental series) - Most of the phones are aimed especially for fashionable female users.

The 8000 series (Premium) - This series is characterized by ergonomics and attractiveness in its physical handset. Materials used increased the cost and hence exclusivity of these handsets.

The 9000 series (Communicator) - It is a brand name for a series of business-optimized smart phones It has a clamshell style to access a full QWERTY keyboard.

**Modern series **

The Nokia modern series are divided into four series i.e. C-series, E-series, N-series and X-series.

The first is a cost-friendly mobile phone but it is fully optimized for social networking and chatting, for example C3 and C6. The second is an enterprise series since it has been optimized as mobile business Smartphone, for example E63 and E72.

The third is the most advanced Smartphone series and it is intended for those who have advanced multimedia and connectivity features and as many other features as possible into one device, for example N8 and N72. The last modern series of Nokia is categorized as a multimedia phone which is certainly focused on music and video entertainment aimed for younger market, for example X3 and X6.

On 11 February 2011, Nokia's CEO Stephen Elop, a former head of Microsoft business division, unveiled a new strategic alliance with Microsoft, and announced it would replace Symbian and MeeGo with Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system except for mid-to-low-end devices, which would continue to run under Symbian.
