Kenggulan lain yang ditawarkan Samsung NX1 adalah dukungan fitur NX AF System III yang memungkinkan para fotografer untuk menangkap berbagai objek dan subjek gambar dengan kecepatan maksimum dan hasil yang sangat presisi. Teknologi tersebut adalah autofocus yang tercepat saat ini, memiliki kemampuan fokus horizontal dan vertical dengan akurasi yang sangat tinggi. Kemudian, NX1 juga memiliki focusing point Phase Detection AF 205 Point, Contrast AF 209 Point dan AF Range: EV -4 – 20 dengan mode Active AF, Continuous AF, MF, serta Single AF.
